The Hydrogen Academic Knowledge Forum, hosted by the Royce Hydrogen Accelerator, is a one day event aiming to strengthen UK-wide collaboration in materials research in the field of production of hydrogen and hydrogen derivatives. The event is open to academics (including post docs and PhDs) and innovators working on materials research in this exciting area.

Applications are now open for the GW-SHIFT Challenge Fund, designed to accelerate challenge-led hydrogen innovation across the South West of England and South Wales. With maximum awards of £50,000 per project, and a total fund of £250,000, there are five opportunities to secure funding.

Great British Energy Supply Chain Fund: Offshore Wind and Networks will award up to £300 million in capital grant funding to build UK manufacturing capacity for key constrained components in offshore wind and enabling electricity networks sectors. The Fund will close 10 December 2026 (or earlier if our funding pot is fully allocated.) Grant funding must be drawn down between April 2026 and March 2030.

This is a national, two-tier accelerator that delivers start-up guidance and matches hydrogen innovators with technical and commercialisation support, all within Europe’s largest hub for climate tech.

This provides early-stage or pre-spinout innovators with foundational startup support, including a company diagnostic and:

• On-Demand Platform: Modules, templates, and toolkits covering key business operations.

• Expert Virtual Workshops: Interactive sessions on IP, regulations, finance, and a CPI technical workshop.

• Community & Networks: Peer networking, virtual events, and access to SV Partners.

• Capstone Showcase Event: An invitation to attend our exclusive Capstone Showcase in London in front of 30–50 curated investors, corporate decision-makers, and industry leaders.

• Technical Support: Up to 15 days from CPI covering feasibility, process validation, roadmapping, regulation, supply chains, and pilot scoping.

• Investor & Corporate Access: Introductions to 200+ climate-tech VCs, corporate trial opportunities, and showcase spotlighting.

• Capstone Showcase Event: An invitation to present and showcase at our exclusive Capstone Showcase in London in front of 30–50 curated investors, corporate decision-makers, and industry leaders.
