Graeme Craig has joined the British Compressed Gases Association as Chief Executive Officer, leading the national trade body’s operations across the UK. One of Graeme’s key actions in the role is to demonstrate to the Government, policymakers and other representative groups the work of the BCGA and its members in safety, standards, and best practice.
He said: “We have taken significant steps to support the UK’s move to a hydrogen economy. This includes the establishment of a Gaseous Fuels Committee, responsible for hydrogen and other alternative gaseous fuels, to offer safety and technical expertise, providing the insight and expertise which ensures the BCGA is a trusted source of information for decision-makers and operators. The BCGA’s Technical Sub-Committee 9 (TSC 9) is developing a growing body of guidance to support the safe use of hydrogen. We’d strongly urge professionals in the hydrogen economy to make use of the guidance available through the publications area of the BCGA website and look out for further publications as this work progresses.
